Wobble

Short, playful calm sessions with a daruma doll who falls down a lot.

Breathing, meditation, koans, chanting and calm sounds in short, game-like sessions. Daru gets knocked over and gets back up. That's the whole idea.

The problem

Calm practice helps. Most apps make it feel like homework.

Everyone has moments when they're wound up, low, stuck on the same thoughts or lying awake. A few minutes of slow breathing or quiet attention can help you settle.

But a lot of meditation apps feel like one more thing to get right: long sessions, a serious tone, something else to keep up with. When it feels like homework, it's easy to stop opening it.

Daru puts it like this: life is more like music than a journey. You don't play a song to get to the end of it. So nothing here is a race.

Wobble keeps it light: tell Daru how you are right now, get a short practice to match, and see afterwards what actually helped.

  • Right now

Pick Wound up, Low, Spiraling, Can't sleep or Just okay, and Daru suggests a practice to match, like a Double Sigh: two sips in through the nose, one long sigh out. There are alternates if it's not for you.

  • Guided breathing

An animated breath ring and cycle counter over a calm underwater scene, alongside short meditations, koans, chants and quotes.

  • A path of small ideas

Lessons drawn from Zen and Taoist ideas, starting with The Watercourse Way: stop swimming upstream. Quick Reset, Wu Wei, Wash Your Bowl and Just Listen are along the way.

  • Check in before and after

A quick mood check-in either side of a session. Over time, a "What helps you" card uses your own check-ins to show which practices lift your mood most.

  • Listen

Drones, reverb and soundscapes from the app's own audio engine, plus daily quests, a daily goal you set, and gentle reminders if you want them.

Be first in.
