Strangeways
A passage through Chris Bianchi's drawings. Corridors turn into gardens. Sketches become rooms you can walk.
First shown as Bonkerz Gardens
Line and smear, used as architecture.
Dale P. Deacon built the world with Alex Bosman for Shtik XR, from Chris Bianchi's drawings.
It was in competition at Venice Immersive 2024, at the 81st Venice International Film Festival, and a Raindance Immersive Best Art World nominee. In 2025 a grant paid for a port to HTC Viverse, so the same drawings open in a browser.

Drawings from the world
The question it had to answer
Can a drawing be a place?
The world does not start from a polygon kit. Line, smear, and the logic of a dream are the rooms.
Venice is the curatorial test. Viverse is the other one. The work had to leave VRChat without losing the hand that drew it.
