The brief
Bloodbath is a confrontational VR narrative directed by Tim Voronkin. It was one of three new works in goEast's 2022 VRChat programme, Tales from the Bathhouse.
It had to hold moral and physical intensity without breaking presence.
The approach
- Build the place-logic
Dale P. Deacon worked on spatial structure: layout, the pacing of reveals, and how bodies share a charged space.
- Keep the scope honest
This was one contribution to a multi-author festival pipeline. The piece belongs to its makers.
The outcome
Bloodbath received the Spirit of Raindance award at Raindance Immersive 2022, where it was shown in VRChat.
