Oxymore
Oxymore is an album you can step inside. Worldbuild made avatars, so people arrive as someone who belongs there.

The brief
Oxymore is Jean-Michel Jarre's experiential album: a music release you can step inside. VRROOM made the immersive release.
Worldbuild's part was the avatars.
The approach
- Identity first
The avatars were designed as narrative identity, so visitors arrive as someone who belongs in the world.
- Tests
Glowing avatar tests were tried against different colour fields.
The outcome
Music metaverses often bolt a stage onto a plaza. Here the avatars carry the story: the audience spreads the world by becoming it.
The project was shown at Venice Immersive 2022. Its Webby honours belong to the project, not to Worldbuild.
