The official visitor app for the Cradle of Humankind. Maps, video, and augmented reality, on the phone you already carry.
Gauteng, 2025–Present
A guide that has to work outside.
The Cradle of Humankind is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the main places people go to learn where humans come from.
In 2025 Worldbuild designed and built the official visitor app with the Gauteng regional government. It is on the App Store and on Google Play, under Worldbuild's name.
- Phones
- iOS and Android. No headset demo.
- On the site
- Maps, video, and augmented reality for people who came to walk the place.
- The constraint
- Glare, a patchy signal, and copy that must not invent fossils.
- Who it is for
- Visitors, not a festival crowd that already owns a headset.
