Enso

Breathe, somewhere quiet.

A meditation app for Meta Quest, rebuilt from a 2021 prototype. It's early: what's below is the plan, and the first pieces are being built and tested now.

The Enso mark: a white brush-stroke circle on black

The problem

It's hard to settle into a breath.

Breathing exercises are simple on paper. In practice your room is full of distractions, and it's hard to hold a rhythm when there's nothing to follow.

VR can shut the room out, but a meditation app that stutters or moves you around leaves you feeling worse, not calmer.

Enso gives you one breath to follow, in sound, light and touch, in a calm place that holds still and runs smoothly.

  • One breath, everywhere

A single clock drives the audio, visuals and controller haptics. Patterns include box breathing, 4-7-8, coherent breathing and the physiological sigh.

  • Guided or on your own

Guided sessions are planned. There's also a simple unguided timer.

  • Calm worlds

A handful of places to sit in, from forest and shore to underwater, snowfield, night sky and a zen garden. Coming.

  • The Unfinished Circle

A story mode in nine chapters about breath, presence and noticing. The first chapter is in progress.

  • Comfortable by default

Seated or standing, stationary unless you choose otherwise, with snap turn and a comfort vignette.

Be first in.

Leave your email and we'll tell you the day Enso goes live.
